Dr. Alvin P. Rogers, Clinical Psychiatrist
I had
heard of the noted clinical psychiatrist Dr. Alvin P. Rogers
some time before he was assigned to assess the mental state
of the "Terrific Two" following the incident at the Park View
Dollar Store. He is known as the "psycho's friend" because
of his uncanny ability to befriend and make sense of all kinds
of despotic types. In fact, he helped a friend of mine. Dr.
Alvin is quite, well, something. Such knowledge of what it
is to be human. He really is quite handsome (much more so
than in his mug shots - although he does look a lot older
in real life and much more gray in his head than I would've
expected; understanding humanity will do that for you very
quickly). It did distress me that his diagnosis of Rich and
Billy was so dire. And his comments represent such a litany
of mental ailments for the "Terrific Two" (mania, bi-polar
and dual personality tendencies). But he did give me a refresher
course of sorts on the blood flow of the brain. I thought
his term for Billy Robbins and Rich Tayton as "psychotic"
was a bit harsh. But as someone who has endured much ridicule
- even to the point of being called "nutty," - I know that
what people see is not always what they get. Fight on, my
Duo brethren. Until we meet.
